(梁勇律师事务所，lianglaw.com专稿)移民局在前几个月公布了要求所有持无过期日(No Expiration Date) 绿卡(I-551) 的美国永久居民持有者尽快转换为十年绿卡。由于最后法规尚未公布，移民局在12月11日特别又公布表示这些持有无过期日(No Expiration Date) 绿卡(I-551) 仍然有效，持有这些无过期日绿卡的人士仍然享有所有绿卡持有者该有的权利。以下是移民局公布原文：

“Despite rumors to the contrary, ‘green cards’ (I-551) with no expiration dates are still valid, and lawful permanent residents carrying those cards will continue to receive all appropriate benefits. These cards will remain valid until the implementation of the final rule addressing this issue.”
